I wanted to begin this year’s message by paying tribute to Engineer Roberto Bartolena who sadly passed away last year, someone who has had a major influence in our industry, a career spanning 60 years and respected throughout. Roberto will be missed by all his family & friends, including all of us at GWC Italia group.
In an incredible year of the Coronavirus, we have focussed primarily on the safety of our employees and visitors, we have strictly followed our safety protocols to minimise the possible impact on our employees and visitors.
I am very proud of everyone at GWC Italia group and want to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to everyone around the world for maintaining those high standards of safety and awareness.
We also face continued uncertainty in our industry, in this area, our focus has been to continue to build relationships and structure our company to what we believe to be the correct equilibrium.
This last year has been one of the biggest challenges in many of our careers, we believe that the impact of the Coronavirus will be felt throughout 2021.
We have taken time to look inwards at how we operate, taken stock of how we have grown in the past five years and determine what we will need to do to continue to meet our long-term growth aspirations and vision – to be the world’s most trusted ball valve supplier in our served markets.
Our revised Mission and Purpose give us both stimulus and direction, we have built our future plans around a strategic framework that will guide our decision-making process and enables our employees to connect those activities.
The framework defines three fundamental objectives built around our operations, product development and our customer commitment. This process has also led us to renew our company values that we feel best address the needs in our ideology to achieve our ambitious plans.
We are firmly committed to the personal development of our employees so that we can further strengthen our teams, enabling us to develop and implement specific programs that will enhance our overall commitment to our customers.
Looking ahead, living our new values will play a central role in the long-term future of the Company.
We shall identify those new opportunities to grow our business sustainably and minimising our impact on the environment. We will be establishing processes in line with our strategic framework and further developing our route to market.
Externally, our focus will continue to be building on partnerships and serving our customers.
